I love to donate mobile phones for charity, especially when it’s with Cellphones for Soldiers. I myself have experienced not being able to communicate with a deployed loved one for months at a time so I am always happy to help. This organization is such a breath of fresh air that gives hope to soldiers and their families through something as simple but extremely valuable as a phone call. I’ve been using Cellphones for Soldiers for years, and I truly believe in their cause. If you have spare or old mobile phones that you are not using or have little to no value to your family, donate them here so they can be used for the greater good.

A military wife myself, I can attest to the hardship of having no means to contact family out in the battlefield. I can only imagine what my late husband had to endure during those times away from home. Back in the 70’s, choppy land lines and snail mail were about our only options for communication and even then, opportunities to reach our loved ones were hard to come by. Just the same, rare phone calls and letters really do keep the worry, loneliness, and longing at bay, even just for a little bit. Keep doing what you do—it’s sustaining grace for many, and I’m sure about it.

Cell Phones for Soldiers is a very noble cause of showing our strength of support and empathy for those who put their lives on the line of fire for our sakes. It doesn’t demand much as all we have to do is donate our old phones, which is most cases is gathering dust and forgotten. But you cannot imagine how when Cell Phones for Soldiers recycles your phone and sell them – the funds of which are used to provide calling cards for soldiers - the kind of satisfaction and relief you are in power to provide your fighter brethren with your donation. With calling cards, they can talk to their loved ones far away freely without the tension of it being an expensive affair. I donated my old phone for this great cause, and today I am a happier person.
