It's important to know that without excessive moisture mold will not grow. Therefore, when you find mold in your house, the first thing is to find the cause or the source of moisture. Sources of moisture could be pipe leaks, vapour from cooking or showers, roof leaks etc. The moisture problem has to be corrected either before or immediately after mold remediation, otherwise mold growth would continue.

If there is extensive mold growth, contact a professional to assess the level of contamination and recommend an approriate level of remediation. Remember there is not need to panic!
