General Information

NOAA Science Camp 2009, registration is open for July camps!

Held at NOAA’s Seattle facility at Sand Point, the five-day summer day camp sessions offer opportunities for 7th and 8th graders to explore earth, ocean and atmospheric sciences as well as the scientists who work in these fields. During the one-week camp, participants experience hands-on activities that emphasize solutions to real-world problems - while having fun at the same time!

The camp was established in 2003 through a partnership between Washington Sea Grant, located at the University of Washington, and the staff and scientists at NOAA’s Western Regional Center in Seattle. Because of the continuing popularity of this program, two sessions of camp are offered again this year.

The Camp Basics:
* Who? Youth entering 7th and 8th grades in the fall of 2009
* Where? NOAA's Western Regional Center on Lake Washington, 7600 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle, Washington
* When?
o Session I, July 6-10, 2009, 9-4 p.m.
o Session II, July 13-17, 2009, 9-4 p.m.
Note: Camp sessions I and II are identical programs, so please register your child for one week only.
