Wauconda Pharmacy has been a local family-owned business for over 100 years. Charles F. Buschick purchased the pharmacy from Charlie Haller in the 1930s and then sold it to Bill Lacey in the 1950s. Lacey owned it until the 1970s when he sold it to Ed Bruner. After 30 years, his son, Terry, took over the business and still owns it today. The pharmacy has gone back to working as a more traditional pharmacy by compounding prescriptions (using custom drug formulations to better meet a patient?s needs). In 2005, Wauconda Pharmacy built a state-of-the-art compounding lab and added a U.S.P. 800 compliant lab in 2020.
