Since 2004, Cartersville Martial Art has provided its members with a road map to success based on self-defense, confidence and goal-setting skills.

Our instructors have a backgrounds in Choi Kwang Do, Universal MA, PasaRyu and have brought those experiences to Cartersville Martial Art & Self Defense.

Cartersville Martial Art & Self Defense is led by Master Michael Wilson and his wife Deputy Master Angie Wilson. Joining the Wilson family is an awesome group of head and assistant instructors dedicated to excellence. Master Wilson has 20 years? experience and was promoted to 5th Degree, Master Instructor in May of 2018 after being examined by Grandmaster Kwang Jo Choi (9th Degree Black Belt) in London, England. The Wilsons have been teaching in the Cartersville community for over 17 years now and have worked with thousands of students during that time.

Cartersville Martial Art & Self Defense is a refined and scientific martial arts form, distinctively different from classical martial arts in concept and movement. It should not be put into the same category with the hundreds of sub-styles of existing martial arts systems. Our scientific approach means not only reaching maximum power potential but also ensures we operate our bodies safely so our training promotes health and does not cause wear on the body. This means areas like practical self defense, fitness, health, personal development and even even rehab can all be accomplished through our training methods.
