three decades in business, and several name changes, Fifth Avenue Club
has a new owner, a new look, and a great new vibe. Major renovations of
this downtown location in 2001 and again in 2007, saw the fitness
centre add a trendy little juice and snack bar, and expand all its
facilities and services. Located in the heart of downtown, Fifth Avenue
is a magnet for inner city dwellers and hardworking professionals who
are fending off uninvited gains from the many tasty lunch venues.Facility and ServicesFifth
Avenue is a well-appointed fitness facility by any athlete’s standards.
It has a large weight room, offering a wide variety of top-notch
equipment, including: free weights, Cybex machines and rehabilitative
equipment. The club also has a decent-sized Cardio area, squash courts
complete with instruction (if needed), teams and tournaments to join
and a well-equipped Class Studio. Classes available include: Boot Camp,
Power Pilates, Body Sculpt, Power Yoga, Ab Blaster, Fat Destroyer and
the list goes on. Other features of the club include the steam room and
sauna, and services including massage and Personal Trainer.Juice JavaAnyone
up for an all natural fruit smoothie? Juice and Java is a trendy little
juice bar added to Fifth Avenue Club during the 2001 renovations.
Clubbers drop by here Monday to Friday between 7 am and 2 pm to get
their healthy snack, wrap, smoothie, or mug of fresh brewed, piping hot
java. Sweating does have its rewards!
